Before we ever met, my husband was hiking these hills and I was exploring the small towns, staying at local B&Bs, each of us separately falling for the same quiet corner of the Catskills. When we found this 13-acre hunting cabin together, it was rough around the edges and completely irresistible. We went in without a plan, but a shared love of this place and a desire to make something unexpected.

The first floor was opened up to let the landscape in, and every room got its own distinct color story: butter yellow, hot pink, cobalt blue. Outside it's a black cabin tucked into the Catskills woods. Inside, it's something else entirely. What surprised us most was how much you can create when you follow your instincts and let the space tell you what it wants.
